Run a scrimmage or tournament

Create a multi-team scrimmage or a bracketed tournament, put its bouts on mats, and give families a board to follow.

Create it

  1. 1League directors: Add event, then choose Scrimmage or Tournament. Pick every team taking part and the host team, whose staff run the board.
  2. 2Team owners: Start scoring, then Tournament.
  3. 3Your tournaments are listed on Schedule & results (and on the league schedule for league events) — open the board from there any time.

Scrimmage

  1. 1On the board, add your mats, then choose Scrimmage in the bout builder.
  2. 2Group by weight class or weight band and choose 2 or 3 bouts per wrestler. Preview, then create: bouts are shared across mats with no back-to-back bouts.
  3. 3Move, reorder or delete bouts on the board as the day changes; Re-pair replaces a scratched wrestler.

Bracket tournaments: the Tournament Desk

  1. 1Create the tournament and choose Bracket tournament. It opens the Tournament Desk, whose left rail follows the day: Setup, Entries, Brackets, Weigh-in, Mat plan, Live, Fix a result, Finals & wrap-up.
  2. 2Setup: pick a division template or add divisions and weights, add mats, and set the lock and start times, placement points, the weigh-in allowance, the team limit and when entries close.
  3. 3Entries: add ScoreOps teams and send each coach their Copy entry link, or import a team that isn't on ScoreOps from a pasted name list. When entries close, Close entries & build creates a bracket for every weight with two or more wrestlers, keeps teammates apart in round one, and splits mats between divisions by bout count.
  4. 4Brackets: reorder or swap seeds, add a late entry (it becomes a pigtail), remove or move a wrestler. A seeded scratch asks whether to re-seed or leave a bye. Print changed sheets reprints only brackets that changed. Lock all brackets when weigh-ins are done; after that, changes go through Fix a result.
  5. 5Weigh-in: search a wrestler, enter the weight, and move them up or scratch them right there.
  6. 6Mat plan: see when each mat will finish and Balance mats so they finish together.

On the day

  1. 1Tables & TVs: create a table link for each mat. The mat table shows the bout on the mat, Record result, and what's next; waiting bouts say which bout they wait on. Results saved while the wifi is down send once it's back.
  2. 2Live: every mat on one screen with alerts that each have one fix — run a ready bout, move a bracket to a free mat, scratch an injured wrestler.
  3. 3Fix a result: enter the right result and review what it changes before applying. A bout already wrestled with the wrong wrestler is only changed by re-running it. Every fix is recorded with a reason.
  4. 4Finals & wrap-up: send the finals to their mats in weight order, call placements from the announcer sheet, and export results, wrestlers and team scores.
  5. 5Turn on the fan board so families can search a wrestler and see their mat and roughly when; the gym TV shows every mat, or just a gym's mats with a named screen.
